December 17 – 18, 2020 in the NPU. MP Drahomanov hosted an international scientific-practical conference “EUROPEAN VALUES OF DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN EDUCATION”, which registered more than 350 participants from more than 8 universities, more than 120 participants were simultaneously on the online platform. The conference was held in the framework of the implementation of the Jean Monnet project “European values of diversity and inclusion for sustainable development” Erasmus + Jean Monnet Project “European values of diversity and inclusion for sustainable development” (EVDISD) 620545-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO -PROJECT and in collaboration with the Jean Monnet Chair project “Social and Cultural Aspects of European Studies” (SCAES) 620635-EPP-1-2020-1-EN-EPPJMO-CHAIR. There was also cooperation with Erasmus + projects under Jean Monnet Module “European values in artistic texts” 599918-ERR-1-2018-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE EUVOLIA and Erasmus + Jean Monnet Chair “EU Climate Leadership” 620031-EPP-1- 2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR.
The conference was held in the following areas:
European experience of inclusive education.
European values in the development of human potential of educational institutions
Diversity and inclusion in socio-economic development
European values for sustainable education.
In addition to reports and section meetings within the conference 17.12.20 and 18.12.20. Training courses were held: 2 virtual classes “-” Diversity and Inclusion in European Education “by Professor of the University of Genoa (Italy) D. Spulber and” European values in human development for sustainable education “by Professor of the University of Žilina (Slovakia) M Blaskova; More than 70 people took part in the training “European values for sustainable development of education” (12 hours) by M. Nesterova, O. Orzhel and O. Yatsenko in the framework of the Jean Monnet EVDISD Project, and more than 100 participants listened to 2 hours of the webinar “Inclusive Education as a Tool for Social Innovation: The European Experience ”by Professor D. Spulber, Professor of the University of Genoa (Italy), in the framework of the implementation of the Jean Monnet Chair SCAES.
The plenary session presented reports by P. Krainik, Jean Monnet National Expert + Office in Ukraine, O. Tupakhina, Jean Monnet EUVOLIA Module Coordinator, outlining the importance of European values in teaching and the possibilities of the Jean Monnet program. - Jean Monnet Project “European Values of Diversity and Inclusion for Sustainable Development” – JM Project “European Values of Diversity and Inclusion for Sustainable Development” (EVDISD) 620545-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-PROJECT is implemented in NPU . This project includes study visits and a number of events to promote European values in higher education and civil society: a conference and a summer school, which include trainings and workshops from European project experts from the University of Genoa (Italy) and the University of Žilina (Slovakia). The project also involves specialists in European integration and inclusion from other Ukrainian universities – the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences, Sumy National Agrarian University, the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Melitopol State Pedagogical University and others.
