“Environmental challenges of post-war society:
European practices of social innovation for Ukraine”

The round table is held within the framework of the implementation of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence project “European Studies of Social Innovations in Education” – Jean Monnet Center of Excellence ESSIE – 101085552 – ERASMUS-JMO-2022-COE and in synergy with projects of the Erasmus+ KA2 direction “Universities-Communities: Strengthening cooperation” 101083077 — UNICOM — ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE and Jean Monnet Chair “Social and Cultural Aspects of European Studies” (SCAES) 620635-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR and Jean Monnet Chairs and Jean Monnet Chair “EU Climate Leadership” 620031-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-CHAIR. There is also support for the sustainability of the Jean Monnet project Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Project “European values of diversity and inclusion for sustainable development” (EVDISD) 620545-EPP-1-2020-1-UA -EPPJMO-PROJECT. The round table is held with the support of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine and takes place as part of the celebration of Europe Days in Ukraine.

The main areas of work of the round table

Webinar by Associate Professor Dr. Hinek Rubik (Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague) “The EU Green Deal: Mitigation and Adaptation of the Effects of Climate Change” with a special focus on sustainable development and environmental issues of post-war society.
Lugano Business Forum – opportunities for Ukraine.
Results of a study visit to the Prague University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Tropical Agriculture.
General discussion on the topics of sustainable development with a focus on environmental issues and social innovations.
Participants will receive new working tools of the best European practices in the field of implementing ideas and principles of social innovation in overcoming sustainable development and environmental challenges, in particular, during the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

The time of the round table is May 20, 2023 from 12:00 to 15:00.

The Jean Monnet Center of Excellence “European Studies of Social Innovation in Education” (ESSIE) at Mykhailo Drahomanov State University initiates and supervises the initiatives of representatives of the university community in the field of European Studies in the field of social innovation, leadership and social responsibility, public administration. The project is interdisciplinary and international, the project team includes representatives not only of the NPU named after M.P. Drahomanov and Ukrainian universities (NUBiP, LNU named after I. Franko and SNAU), as well as European experts from Italy, Germany and the Czech Republic. The project lasts 36 months, the head of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence is a professor of the department of management and innovative technologies of socio-cultural activity of Mykhailo Drahomanov State University, a professor of the Jean Monnet department “Social and cultural aspects of European Studies”, Doctor of Philosophy. n., professor M.O.
